The School of Fashion and Textiles (SFT) is dedicated to advancing knowledge in fashion, textiles, materials, and design innovation. Our work spans a wide range of areas, including smart textiles, functional materials, sustainability, digital fashion, and technology-enabled design and manufacturing. We strive to combine scientific inquiry with creative practice, fostering collaborative and interdisciplinary research that addresses industrial, social, and environmental challenges. Our centrally managed laboratories and workshops are equipped with state-of-the-art research equipment, enabling students and colleagues to pursue excellence in a dynamic and challenging research landscape.
