UMF-Micro/Nano Device Fabrication and Sensing Technologies (UMF-DFST)

Micro-/Nano-Device Fabrication and Sensing (DFST) enables a wide variety of disciplinary and interdisciplinary research projects. Major equipment include 5.5 metre tall dual-side silica speciality optical fibre drawing tower, vertical glassworking lathe and multi-channel preform pressure control system; table top scanning electron microscope (Phenom) and laser scanning microscope (Keyence); fibre Bragg grating fabrication platform with 213 nm laser and micro-/nano-positioner combined systems.
